WELLS FAB - (68).jpg

Engineering & Fabrication

Engineered design, certified welding, and shop-built spools—turnkey fabrication that installs cleanly, safely, and on schedule.

At WellFab, we use AutoCAD Inventor, SolidWorks, and Revit MEP/Structural to design, model, and plan mechanical systems before they’re built. Our team creates detailed 3D layouts, spool drawings, and installation-ready assemblies so clients can see exactly how equipment, piping, supports, and access clearances will fit in real space — before we touch the field. This approach helps avoid clashes, reduces rework, and speeds up install, especially in tight mechanical rooms and active facilities. By coordinating design, fabrication, and construction sequencing in one process, we deliver fit-for-purpose solutions that are accurate, safe to install, and ready to perform on day one.

Capabilities

  • Restore integrity fast while the rest of the building stays online.

    Capabilities

    • Single or dual ice plugs to create a safe, depressurized work zone

    • Leak clamp installs, burst-pipe cut-outs, and spool replacements

    • Rapid mobilization, water damage mitigation, and stepwise recommissioning

    Engineering
  • Swap or add valves without system drain-down.

    Capabilities

    • Freeze upstream/downstream of the valve to isolate the seat

    • Remove/replace gate, butterfly, or ball valves; verify orientation/torque

    • Pressure/leak tests and as-built documentation

    Design and Fabrication
  • Make cut-ins, tie-ins, or equipment change-outs with minimal disruption.

    Capabilities

    • Freeze-isolate risers/branches for new connections or reroutes

    • Coil, pump, HX, or meter change-outs; coordinated cutover sequencing

    • Option to combine with hot tapping for live branch additions

    Risk and Assessment1
  • We help ensure mechanical upgrades, tie-ins, and repairs are compliant with code, site standards, and safety regulations. This protects you during inspections, turnover, and audit.

    Capabilities

    • Code and regulatory review for proposed mechanical modifications

    • Documentation support for QA/QC, turnover packages, and sign-off

    • Verification that valves, supports, welds, and materials meet spec

    • Guidance on working in regulated environments (institutional, industrial, high-rise)

  • We support owners and facility teams with long-term mechanical reliability planning —

not just fixing one issue, but upgrading how the system performs across the building.

    Capabilities

    • Retrofit strategies for aging risers, loops, headers, and valve banks

    • Capacity upgrades to handle new loads or connect new areas/tenants

    • Phased work planning to minimize shutdowns and tenant impact

    • Mechanical system improvements that extend service life and reduce downtime
