Niagara Falls – Emergency 8” Line Stops
Project Overview
This project involved two emergency 8” line stops in Niagara Falls to support critical maintenance on a heat exchanger system. The existing supply and return lines could not be isolated through conventional means, which prevented routine maintenance from moving forward without risking a larger system shutdown.
WellFab mobilized quickly over the weekend to install controlled line stops on both lines, creating a safe isolation window for the maintenance team while keeping the overall system protected and operational.

Scope of Work
✓ Completed two emergency 8” line stops on the existing supply and return lines.
✓ Created controlled isolation points where conventional shutoff methods were not available.
✓ Supported safe access for heat exchanger maintenance without requiring a full system shutdown.
✓ Monitored system conditions throughout the work to maintain pressure integrity and operational safety.
✓ Completed testing, reinstatement, and system restoration after maintenance was completed.

Project Impact
WellFab’s rapid response and precise execution allowed urgent heat exchanger maintenance to be completed efficiently while minimizing operational disruption.
By creating a controlled isolation window without a full system shutdown, the project helped protect system performance, reduce downtime, and demonstrate WellFab’s ability to respond quickly to emergency mechanical service requirements.
