H&W Vendome – Energy Transfer Station (Ets) Construction
9 Clegg Road, Markham, Ontario
WellFab Services Ltd. completed the construction and mechanical installation of an Energy Transfer Station (ETS) located in the P1 MDE ETS mechanical room at the H&W Vendome development. This project supports the building’s energy distribution by delivering efficient heating, cooling, and domestic hot water through a fully integrated system.

Project Scope
The project included the supply, installation, and integration of key ETS components
designed to support multiple operational demands:
✔ One hot water heat exchanger for space heating
✔ One hot water heat exchanger for domestic hot water
✔ One hot water heat exchanger for glycol systems
✔ One chilled water heat exchanger for space cooling

Mechanical Installation
WellFab installed all interior piping and mechanical equipment downstream of the main
isolation valves, ensuring alignment with contract specifications and system requirements.
The work also included modifications to existing DPS piping, such as removing bypasses
and end caps, followed by full insulation, protective jacketing, and proper labeling to
ensure system protection and identification.
Testing & Commissioning
All installed piping systems underwent pressure testing, cleaning, and flushing to verify system integrity, performance, and compliance with project standards. These procedures ensured the ETS was fully prepared for safe and efficient operation.

Project Outcome
This project delivered a fully operational Energy Transfer Station built with precision and attention to detail. The completed system supports reliable energy distribution for heating, cooling, and domestic hot water, contributing to the overall efficiency and long-term
performance of the H&W Vendome development.
