3" HOT TAP TURNKEY NITROGEN

Project Overview

This project involved installing a new 3″ branch connection on an active nitrogen line. WellFab supplied the required fitting, valve, and hot tapping equipment, completed the branch welding, performed the controlled live hot tap, and reinstated the system after testing and inspection.

The turnkey delivery model placed technical planning, field execution, quality checks, and final restoration under one coordinated scope.

Technical Execution

✓ Reviewed the active nitrogen-line conditions and developed the execution method

✓ Supplied the required branch fitting, isolation valve, and hot tapping equipment

✓ Prepared and welded the new 3″ branch connection

✓ Set up and aligned the tapping equipment for the live cut

✓ Performed the controlled 3″ hot tap while maintaining system operation

✓ Completed testing and inspection before final reinstatement

Project Impact

The turnkey approach reduced handoffs between contractors and gave the client one accountable team for planning, material supply, welding, hot tapping, inspection, and reinstatement.

The completed connection added a reliable new branch point on the active nitrogen system while maintaining system integrity throughout the work.
